Expected outcomes
The critical inquiry into the impact of contemporary architecture on the Campania regional territory seeks to identify the strengths and challenges of current design approaches, highlighting both the values and the tensions embedded in its language. What impact does architecture have today on the lives of the communities that inhabit these territories? How are these works publicly perceived in relation to the urban landscapes consolidated in the collective memory of place? And what kinds of debates does contemporary architectural production generate within institutional and academic contexts?
The final publication “Ambiti 04” is conceived as a platform addressing a broad range of interlocutors. It aims to provide an analytical framework through which to reassess the territory’s design resources and objectives. At the same time, it seeks to foster awareness among citizens who inhabit these places and to encourage a process of self-reflection among designers, who are called upon to actively shape and transform cities and landscapes.
